Schemes and Services Implemented Through the Office

• Provide supplementary nutrition to children from 0 to 6 years, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.
• Reduce infant mortality rate and prevent school dropouts with the cooperation of other departments.
• Provide health and nutrition education to mothers and adolescent children, and implement immunization programmes.
• Implement non-formal pre-school education, health check-up and referral services, etc.
• Lay the foundation for the physical, mental, and social development of children.
• Ensure child protection and safety with the assistance of ICPS.
• Take necessary measures for the empowerment of women, prevention of domestic violence, and ensuring safety.
• Make available to the public the various schemes implemented by the Social Security Mission for differently abled persons, widows, destitute persons, and those suffering from serious diseases.
• Ensure Childline services and prevent child marriage.
• Implement social security projects for women and children every financial year at the Panchayat and Block levels.
• Implement State and Central Government schemes. Make Jagratha Samithi and Nirbhaya programmes accessible to the public.
