The Development Standing Committee is responsible for ensuring that all planning procedures—from the formation of working groups to the final approval of the project—are carried out effectively and in a timely manner. This includes making necessary preparatory arrangements and interventions, convening meetings as required, and taking timely decisions to ensure smooth progress.

The committee also provides necessary instructions to other Standing Committees and Working Groups, prepares and presents the development vision document in the governing body meeting, and ensures that all documents related to project formulation are prepared accurately and systematically.

It takes steps to submit the project along with all required documents for timely review, and ensures that any deficiencies identified during the project review stage are addressed promptly.

In addition, the Development Standing Committee is also entrusted with all the responsibilities assigned to the other Standing Committees.
